Jamzone supports footswitches and MIDI controllers on macOS, allowing hands-free control for live performances, rehearsals, or teaching sessions.
To use a footswitch
- Connect your footswitch via Bluetooth or USB.
- Make sure it sends standard keyboard commands (e.g. Spacebar, Left/Right Arrow).
Jamzone will automatically recognize basic controls:
- Play/Pause = Spacebar
- Next/Previous track = Arrow keys
For full MIDI control (Pro only)
- Go to Settings > Manage Shortcuts.
- Create or edit a shortcut set.
- Assign a MIDI trigger to any available action.
Tips
- Check your footswitch documentation to confirm it sends keyboard strokes or MIDI signals.
- Create multiple shortcut sets for different use cases (live, studio, practice).
- MIDI shortcut control requires a Pro subscription.
